Nope. Never heard of it.
No crocodiles or alligators in Taiwan.
There are some in China (but I think almost gone).

Had alligator meat before, lightly breaded and deep fried. Served said the meat was from the tail. I quite liked it.

The tail meat is best, but there is good meat on the legs and on the jaws.
Alligator is kinda like shark, as it doesn't have a lot of taste and needs to be helped with marinades and seasoning.
I've never hunted them very much and I'd probably botch a skinning job. My wife has caught more gators than I have...Her biggest was 13 ft, but he would have been almost 14, if he'd had all of his tail.
