Has George discussed with you whether you feel comfortable in your own feathers, and whether gender affirming care might make you a happier parrot?

He has not.
The vet asked him if he was sure about my gender - and he assured him that I had been "sexed." When I finally got adopted, he sent off a DNA sample.
I'm 100% XY chromosomes, and very comfortable with it.
The only thing that could make me happier is some extra pistachios.

How is he around vets? What does he do when someone’s trying to trim his beak and nails?

He's a bit skittish, but I don't think he recognizes the vet as a "vet." Just another person. The vet was good, getting down on the floor to encourage Sid to come to him. After about 15 minutes, he was able to get Sid to step up on his arm.
What does he do when someone’s trying to trim his beak and nails?
We used to have a groomer come to the house, and he absolutely hated it. She'd restrain him with a towel, and then go at it.
She's retired, so we do the vet thing. The vet was able to get him enclosed in a towel and took him to the back...
