Eggs to make coffee. OK. I would try it, but I"m too lazy to actually make it.
I think it was Aqua that recommended a splash of cold water into the grounds in the french press, before pouring in the boiling water. Gets rid of the bitterness. It does work. Either that, or let the water cool from the boiling point before pouring into the grounds.
Or, add a pinch of salt to the grounds before brewing.

That's interesting.
And, almost easy enough in terms of cooking ability that even I could do it.
I'll try it. If nothing else, it gives me something to enthrall people with at our next cocktail party. -

There is no excuse for shitty coffee anymore and those that serve it aren’t serving coffee. These days it is a great way to get rid of people, when you encounter it keep that in mind.
Interesting point and good tip!

Am I alone in liking a little bitterness in my coffee?

It might not be an excuse, but it's a great business model.

Burnt.
It is.
Their tea is absolute crap, too, for what they charge for it.
Their specialty drinks are okay for what they are, but now you're talking about coffee-flavored sugarwater, not coffee.
