This guy hasn’t voted Dem since he was hollering from the rafters about OJ’s innocence.

He's a lawyer - that's what lawyers get paid to do.
By way of example, I've been following the legal saga of Karen Read, who is accused or murdering her cop boyfriend by backing into him with her SUV.
One of the attorneys on her defense team is a guy named Alan Jackson.
He has quite a history...former LA County DA Office attorney.
He is defending Karen Read.
He prosecuted Phil Spector.
He defended Harvey Weinstein. That's what lawyers do.
As reprehensible as Dersh's defense of Simpson was, that's his job. Jackson's job was to defend Weinstein.
Lawyers defend guilty people - even if they are sure of the guilt.

It becomes remarkable when lawyers continue to do interviews and advocate for their obviously guilty clients, after the case is over. But then again, as the Innocence Project useful idiots continue to prove, many people are sincerely divorced from reality. One Innocence Project team has recently taken up for the blatantly guilty Scott Peterson.

Dersh voted for Obama in 2008, Hillary in 2016 and Biden in 2020.
The Simpson trial was in 1995.

I was assured, right here, that it's OK for people to change their minds over the space of 20 years. Sometimes in as few as 4.

Seems like a fair trade. We’ll take all your old leaders and presidential candidates and you can have all our pedophile lawyers.

I remembering hearing one defending lawyer say that he never ever asks the client if they did it. He doesn't want to know. Just makes things more complicated if they confess to him.
