I still see people say with a straight face how “terrifying” they think Jan 6 was. Oddly they remain completely unconcerned at how precariously our democracy was held up for grabs with a handful of glorified rentacops guarding it. No they are only terrified at the very idea that a mob of imbeciles would break into the weakly defended Capitol.

          Education is extremely important.

I thought it was a full time regular police force? Was it something different?

                Didn't watch - yet.

I need to pour myself another moderately-cheap Scotch in the hopes that there's a shot of Josh Hawley running through the halls of Congress.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Yeah, I'm of two minds about it.

On the one hand, they were straightup fucking with an election. It wasn't just a couple of yahoos who loitered on government land, they stopped the electoral college from completing their voting. They accelerated the national insanity. No, I don't think that's the same thing as being found on a park bench after dark.

                  On the other,

Yeah, that kind of crap has done nothing to cool things down, either.

Probably we'd be all better off nationally if we relearned how to have a sense of humor about politics and current events. So, probably a good thing overall they made this.

                  Please love yourself.
