Over 2000 cases, 20% of uniformed workforce out on quarantine.

Vast majority will recover. But still. Last I heard they’ve lost 12.

Who is going to direct traffic?

          There is none.

Who is going to write parking tickets?

There are none to be written.

First responders are definitely at risk. I worry about our local folks here, ambulance crews, police, and firefighters helping in so many ways that could cause exposure for them and their families.

Over 4000 cases, 29 deaths as of two weeks ago (can’t find anything more recent).

That’s an IFR in the department of 0.75%.

I think I was reading something that the US city of Detroit police was even worse off.

That’s 10% of NYPD that has coronavirus(that they know of) I wonder how representational that is of NYC.

A week ago or so the city finished a serology test that suggested 21%. Yet the police, ems, and front line heathcare workers all have lower numbers (10-17%). Not sire how much of that reflects the selection bias in the public test.
