What I noticed is that she just sung the bloody tune as it was written down. The National Anthem shouldn't be an excuse to try and be Whitney Houston.
That was a good weekend incidentally. British Grand Prix won by a British driver for a record 9th time. Putting Johnny Foreigner firmly in his place.

You'll notice in the clip that the RAF were circling the circuit just in case she decided to show up.

Excellent point. It's about the song not the singer of the song. Hannah did pretty much ok though with her interpretation. Good for her.

When Lady Gaga did the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, I was amazed. Just her remarkable voice and a piano. She didn't get into the weird trilly stuff until the 2nd half of the song. Somehow, it's more powerful if you just sing the damn song.

Definitely a recognized voice. But I think he did a good job.
