How did Mason look today?

Sorry, I'm saving lives today. Listened to a bit on the radio, but not enough to do much except say the Titans won.
-
I will say this...The kid we got from Pitt State...No, not Pitt, Pitt State...That kid is gong to stick. Our secondary is loaded, or the kid would be a lock for the 53. He's on the practice squad at the very worst.
-
Another opinion...The kid from ULL (Kibodi) can play. Not star level, but a decent number two or three NFL back. I think the Saints cut him and somebody will pick him up.
-
Payton Wilson is the name from the Steelers to watch. Late 3rd round pick, most draft gurus had him as the best LB in the draft (he also won the Butkus award) but teams were scared to touch him because he has no ACL… The Steelers have had 2 Ring of Honor inductees without an ACL, including Hines Ward. I think this kid will be fine. He’s flying all over the field.
-
The steal for the Saints looks to be Rattler. Kid has a NFL arm, fer shure. The knock on him in college is occasional bad decision making during a play, aka the Famous Jameis Fuck It & Chuck It passing attack. They have had zero behavioral issues, just the force it (common with big arm QB's) problem.
But if they can tame that...The kid has swagger and he has the locker room.
-
Having said that...The kid they drafted last year, Haener, has had really good practices. It just hasn't translated into the preseason games. I think he's trying too hard. And he doesn't have arm that Rattler has.
But the kid may have a decent career, maybe along the lines of Trevor Simien or the like. Perennial backup with a rare game appearance.

I don’t think the 2025 Steelers QB is on the roster, but whoever we get should have a good line. The past two drafts they’ve spent 1st rounders on Tackles, drafted the best pure C in the draft this year, and an impressive Guard that should be depth and development. They also signed two great guards in FA, and they have a utility lineman that was undrafted last year that has played all positions except LT this preseason, well. He will be the first man off the bench for any position. And the LT that they are trying to upgrade? Keeps stepping up to the challenge and outplaying the competition. They will have a rough start as they still need to gel and get that unspoken communication down, but by mid season, lookout!
