All mentions of debt have been deliberately removed from the GOP Platform by the Trump team:

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/policy/finance-and-economy/3073535/new-gop-platform-drops-reference-debt-deficits/#

The new Republican Party platform omits any mention of the federal government’s growing national debt and deficits.

The only debt mentioned in the DNC platform is forgiveness of student debt - because that's good for the budget don'tcha know.

Is there any politically viable way to “care about the debt”?

        Education is extremely important.

Vance’s platform seems to be anti-free market, punish companies working on a global level, and heavy government regulation on labor compensation and social programs, which is exactly the opposite of his statements in the books…

Did he make reference to The American Hitler at all?

Because that would have been bloody funny.

I'm not sure Vance's platform is Trump's platform. Where I do think the two converge, is a drive to resurrect manufacturing, one way or another.

You think Kamala-lama-ding-dong has the same identical politics as The Resident?

Obviously, they think differently. After all, who could match the genius of either Trump or Biden?

But doesn't standing up and doing a speech which seems to be at odds with what the boss is saying seems a bit, well, unprepared?

I don't think it's totally at odds. I think Vance was put on the ticket to appeal to Rust Belt voters. To maybe swing Pennsylvania, Michigan or Wisconsin.

I think that is who his speech was aimed at...
