A little underreported story that got buried due to the assassination attempt - Joe had a call with House Dems on Saturday, trying to get them to line up behind him. According to reports, he was worse than he was at the debate. Officials expected there to be dozens of Congressmen calling for him to fall on the sword on Sunday morning, but the shooting forestalled them.
