It won’t help. The independents know they tried to foist off a candidate they knew well was not up to the job, and they have no one to replace him. Their only chance would be Manchin.

Too little, way too late. This all should have been worked out in 2021 and a successor groomed.

If the dems could find someone clean, they could still win, easily.

The dnc media would be happy to clean up any blemishes.

Manchin could win, Hillary maybe, Newsom probably not, Joseph P Kennedy III maybe

Long time until election. And don't forget the vaunted Democrat Get-Out-The-Vote (ballot harvesting and stuffing) operation.

I read somewhere yesterday that both Harris and Newsome outpoll him in key battleground states.

Who would determine who the replacement candidate is? I assume there's not enough time for the usual process.

                  Convention.

It will be decided and voted on in two or three days, with the fourth given over to stupifying speechifying.

If there were truly an open convention it would have great ratings. People would be following it like none other in decades.

I think you are dreaming. The die has already been cast, otherwise they wouldn’t push Biden out.

All of these guys will poll better until the spotlight turns on them. Then they will fade a little.

It would be fun if they made Kennedy the candidate, but that’s not happening…

Keep it Joe or switch to Kamala, effectively surrender the Presidency, and go all out on protecting the Senate and gaining the House. Run on a split government being needed to reign in Trump’s excesses…

Not a bad strategy, but I'm not sure it's in them.

I do not think it is. At least I see no evidence.
