    Medical term is “mask-like faces”.

In all seriousness, I don’t think it’s one of the also rans. RNC ought to be ready to switch gears to run against Gretchen, Gavin, Kamala, and Warren. So the DNC should pull somebody that’s a surprise, and preferably young and new to the game.

I’ve heard a lot of people mention Shapiro from PA. How well do you think a guy named Shapiro is going to do in today’s DNC?

If the DNC is playing to win this year, they need youth and new. If they want to concede and reset, they should put Bernie or Warren in as a concession to their far left wing nuts.

                  A bit of an aside:

I trained with and worked with a guy named Barry Shapiro. He trained in Michigan where the chief of anesthesia’s first name was “Kurt.” Kurt had blaue augen blue eyes , blonde hair, and wire rimmed glasses.

                    And even further aside.

I started caddying in 7th grade at the Brookline Muni (not the CC).
The Jews lived in Brookline. That's just the way it was, pretty much all the guys I caddied for were Jewish. We Irish kids came out from the city to caddy, that's where the Irish lived.

A fair number of those guys had the concentration camp tattoos. We saw lots of them and didn't think much of it. I'm sure we knew what they were, but didn't really appreciate the experience they represented. We were just kids.

NY Times is reporting on it, now.

If Biden comes out of the convention as the candidate, how do all of the media outlets calling for his resignation walk back those editorials and reports?

Still off topic, but when I was interning for a crisis intervention position I observed a therapy group over a few months. One of the participants was discussing how he wished people would not view him as Jewish - but as "like everyone else." The Jewish therapist reflected back to him, "so, it sounds like you feel being Jewish is another cross to bear..." I saw and heard it. It was an lol moment.

Given that Biden identifies as an African American female, Biden has become America's first Trans President. That should pull in some votes.
