US Chambers of Commerce Sues Trump Administration
-
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and other major business groups have filed a lawsuit claiming the Trump administration’s recent directive banning work visa holders from entering the country is “inflicting severe economic harm” and should be struck down.

I love this little bit of disingenuity.
"Not only does the policy threaten America’s economic interests, but these restrictions clearly exceed the authority of the executive branch, as they take a sledgehammer to the immigration laws that Congress crafted over many generations."
Yeah. Right. Congress hasn't done anything serious on immigration for years if not decades.

That may, or may not, be the case ("severe economic damage").
However, I'd like to see what the actual law is in this case. "Because it hurts me" should not be a consideration, unless it's illegal.
What does the law say is how it should and will be judged.

Aw, c'mon, that's the most naive thing you've said, probably ever, LOL.
Since when does the law matter? What judges say matters, law be damned.

Yes, rise up and fight for immigrant labor on the cusp of massive unemployment!
A lot of them do the agriculture here. And in many farms in MD this year, they just straightup didn't plant or harvest because no one local wanted the jobs. That's not speculation, it already happened. Might lead to a shortage in the fall. Just sayin'.

I can add my bit to that truth. Big fruit area where I am, especially apples. They'd rot on the ground if the migrants didn't come every year and harvest them.
What Aqua says about farmers not planting, that happened I believe in Georgia. I can't recall the details, something about some legislation that resulted in the crops not being harvested. So the following year farmers didnt grow peaches. Big surprise, what peaches there were went sky high in the supermarkets.

Yeah, but are the agricultural workers ones with visas?
Mixed bag in some MD farms.
