      I dunno.

Are we banning divorce? Nope, didn't think so. Just contemplating making it harder than changing your socks.

Those weren't no-fault divorces. They just got tired of having to listen to him read the Bible to them for 4 hours every night.

        I was only joking

Just charge a nominal filing fee that is slightly more expensive than a typical new pair of socks from Target and already you would make it harder than changing your socks. There really is no reason to go the extreme of government overreach like outlawing "no fault" divorce to achieve your rather modest stated goal of making it harder than changing your socks.

But, really, as a freedom loving American, I would much rather the state stays out of the marriage thing entirely.

I am here until death do us part.

            That is the commitment.

This is not to be taken lightly.

            Grow up.

I wasn’t aware that you believe you entered into a matrimonial relationship with TNCR. In your mind a covenant of sorts. Rather odd.

My posts on this topic obviously trigger you. Get used to it. They will continue in that same vein of impunity and impiety so long as cullions such as yourself continue lurching around.

              Sod off.

              Elbows up!

This place has a lot in common with a marriage.

At least, I think it's fair to say that a number of posters here belong in an Institution.

Those who were going to divorce us already have. For the rest it's until death do us part.

Too much flotsam and jetsam when one falls apart, especially when children are involved.

If good for society (and it is), it's worth trying to make it as stable as possible.

Or, as one gal I used to work with told me about her divorce, Too late, I figured out that greener grass on the other side of the fence was just the same grass.

One point David Burton made in the OCR a couple of times was that some couples really had no business getting married in the first place. I agreed with him then and continue to agree. If a couple grows apart and decides to end the marriage then it should be entirely their choice and right to do so.
