On the story of bridges, there is an expressway bridge that needs to be replaced between Illinois and Iowa over the Mississippi River

Rather than tear the old bridge down, there is a (possible) plan to make the old bridge a bison crossing with a national park at each end. Kind of a cool idea.

Would be fun if is coming to happen.

Unfortunately, the Dept. of Trans has recommended tearing down the old bridge, so it does not look like the bison bridge will happen.

Pretty expensive cow path to maintain. But I do like the greenway overpasses that are being built.
