Y'all do know the anarchists have been doxxing the federal officers?
So are they unidentifiable or not. This is a central question.
Everybody should be on that case, all sides. What is the truth?
-
They are identified as Federal officers. Instead of a name tag, they have a number or a pseudonym.
Therefore, in case of misconduct, an officer can be identified.
I look at it this way...Want proper name badges on the officers? Ban masks on the protesters.

@Larry :
Actually the guys who illegally arrested that man and threw him in an unmarked van were from Customs and Border Patrol. They (CBP) even released a statement about it. It's true I said ICE, not CBP, but it turns out that CBP are the ones that operate along the border, whereas ICE is more in the interior. So I think the point is a valid one, and moreso with CBP.
Also 'jack-booted thugs' was ironic commentary. People who were paying attention to partisan politics in the early 90s will know how that phrase got popularized to begin with and thus understand my usage.

Wall of Mom

After a Facebook post called for mothers to make a "Wall of Moms," dozens wearing white and helmets attended Saturday. They stood arm-in-arm with each other, forming a barrier between federal agents and demonstrators.

You will never convince me this is not all fun and games for those people.
For the moms, certainly. Their getups remind me of the pink shirts women wear for the breast cancer fun runs. That whole scene is disgusting. How can they not take what's happening more seriously?
For the other participants, I'm not sure.

Beats staying at home under quarantine, where all you get to say you did is not spread the virus to anyone. That kind of Facebook virtue signaling has seriously diminished returns.

That kind of Facebook virtue signaling . . .
Good encapsulating phrase!

Cut off all Federal aid, withdraw all Federal officers and judiciary.
Let them be as weird as they wish and as weird as the state will allow.

There is definitely a troubling aspect to federal forces engaging with citizens but no doubt this is also very much a rhetorical was and the left is looking past real anarchists doing millions in damage as if that doesn’t matter.
-
It's ok to criticize both those things, Loki.
-
I will never be clear about how true the emotions are that people lay claim to publicly when they know those alleged emotions are rhetorical evidence that the point they're making really matters. But "deeply troubling" tends to be a communicable emotional state that doesn't have to be based on anything real, so I suppose the emotions could just as easily be real. Claiming to feel them is really just claiming to have been told by your tribe that you should be feeling them.

Those are the sorts of posts that boil down to you expressing a wish that people shut up about certain things, Cats.
Not my intention. I don't feel anything like that harsh. Rather, Loki sounds like he needs to refresh his soul.
Loki, I was not telling you to shut up.
