I thought I'd pour myself some (slightly expensive) Scotch this evening.

I opened a bottle of Glenfarclas, and to my dismay, I had only about 1 finger's worth in the bottle. Nevertheless, I thought I'd enjoy it.

But, 1 finger isn't quite enough. So I had an opened bottle of Glenlivet, and, after finishing the Glenfarclas, I used the 'Livet.

What a shock, going from something really full-bodied, rich and flavorful to something pretty bland.

I don’t care for Glenlivet at all. It’s odd how it sells so well.

Not that I drink Scotch much any more (damnit)

      I was only joking

Never have, never will. But it was a Christmas gift which was opened at that time.

I have another bottle, in a box, that I'll probably re-gift to someone.

I had some Japanese Hibiki the other day with D4 while she was nursing G3. It was wonderful.

        The whiskey, that is.

I am proud to say that I've never tasted any of them, other than Templeton Rye which was served by a friend years ago.

I'm no whiskey connoisseur. I do keep a bottle for snakebites, usually Evan Williams, Wild Turkey or Crown.

My latest drink of choice is pre-mixed Margarita. Very classy, and only $14.99!
