Geek Question on Transferring Music to Apple Computer

I received some music files that are in the "flac" format. In my minor search of the internet, it indicates that Apple cannot handle this file time, but there is a converter called XLD (X Lossless Decoder). https://tmkk.undo.jp/xld/index_e.html

I am quite sure (99.9+%) it is a legitimate website and decoder.

But my question is, is how easy it is to use.

Has anybody ever used this decoder before?
