Why don’t you go full Omar on us and declare “it’s open season on pro-lifers”?
During the protest, the pro-life protesters sang songs, prayed, locked arms in front of the facility’s staff entrance, and attached themselves with ropes and chains to block doors inside the building.
This has nothing to do with protesting and everything to do with Free Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act).
But this thread is a great demonstration of how right wing media manufactures the “just us” myth and how people motivated to believe it accept it so uncritically.
They’ll end up, after a lot of drama, with the same formula they use every time they have a trifecta: take away health care and food assistance from low income families and use the money to fund tax cuts for their donors.

There was another incident in which a guy was arrested for praying, on the sidewalk, restricting nobody's access.
He was paid a visit at his home, in front of his wife and kids, by a fully-armed police force who handcuffed him and hauled him away.

It may not be the NYT ( they probably would not do a juxtaposition story), but do you have a problem with the facts?

Okay, then in light of our recent Gaza protests, where even people destroyed parts of the university building aren't looking at 2 years ( or more), why are we imprisoning these dangerous people for 2-3 years? Remind me again of how this is not ludicrous punishment meted out by the Just-us Department...
