Ann Coulter - Why I can't vote for Vivek

Didn't she date renowned Indian stud-muffin Dinesh D'Souza at one point, or did I dream that?
God, I hope it wasn't a dream, as that would make me a really sick puppy.
Dating doesn’t mean she would vote for him. I’m pretty sure that she and Bill Maher put on leather pig masks and squeal together in a big tank of mud, but I don’t think they would vote for each other…

Thank God I haven't eaten breakfast yet.

'The core national identity is the identity of the wasp'?
I imagine that like many wasps she's ruined a few good family picnics in her time by injecting venom into small children.
-
Next will follow her complaining about all the really upsetting abuse she receives on-line.

In other words, the original post was heavily selectively edited?

Why are you so racist, Mik?

Ann has jumped the shark.
A Great White, presumably.

Did you watch the whole interview, @George-K ? I’m only about 1/3 of the way through, but it feels like she isn’t saying she wouldn’t vote for him because he’s Indian, but because he’s first generation. Her argument is based more on the idea that many American Ideals aren’t really fully comprehended by 1st generation or even 2nd generation Americans. I’m not saying I agree with her at all, in fact I don’t, but it’s not the racist argument that it’s being portrayed as.
-
Oh, I agree. I don't see it's racist. My analogy of Black Americans might be off. However, I'll defend it by asking whether she thinks that Black Americans "get" the WASP culture and embrace it. I'd guess the answer is "no."
I see it as phenomenally ignorant.
American Ideals aren’t really fully comprehended by 1st generation or even 2nd generation Americans.
Guess what generation American I am?
That's a set of one, of course, but I think I'm fairly representative of 1st generation Americans - at least in understanding what "American ideals" are.
For a supposedly smart woman, she sure came off stupid.

Ah, but you’re also of Lithuanian heritage, right? Lithuanians are primarily Catholic, but aren’t really and truly Roman Catholics. Protestantism was actually quite a strong force in Lithuania in the 1600s. It was eventually stomped out hard, but the ideals were pervasive throughout the society

That interview was the verbal equivalent of clapping on 1 and 3.

That may be the case. However, my parents took me to Roman Catholic schools and churches until I was in high school. I went to a Roman Catholic high school.
ETA: Are Roman Catholic values different from the values that Coulter endorses?
