That was one hell of a throw!

I really do not understand why Caitlin Clark’s name or persona shows up so often on this forum. I have the distinct impression over the past few weeks that she is not at all liked here, least of all by the initiator of this thread, although no one comes right out and says so.

She’s an athlete and apparently a very good one. So what?

I also agree with Phibes, male professional athletes in many sports are paid too much. Personally, I am fed up with subsidizing our local billionaire NHL team owner(s) and the millionaire players on his team by providing them arenas built by tax dollars to host games only the wealthy can afford to buy seats.

I find Caitlin to be an extremely accomplished athlete, and think it’s outstanding, what she’s accomplished. I also find it very satisfying to remind @Jolly yhat she passed Pete’s record.

You just have to accept the possibility that one can like her while making fun of those who go overboard about her relative athletic abilities. I think she's compelling, and I will be interested to follow her WNBA career.

Okay, but I won’t go as far as following her career. But I do agree the fawning hype over her playing is way over the top and mockery is deserved.

I find basketball not at all appealing.

I’ve heard that WNBA teams are having to lease larger venues for their games when Caitlin is coming to town. She will be good for the sport.

Let's just hope she doesn't say something critical of Donald Trump. She'll quickly become the most hated female since Taylor Swift started kissing that great big bearded bloke and almost immediately became pubic enema No. 1 amongst a segment of the populace.

                      I was only joking

She is kinda manly looking, though.

                            And eyebrows. Redefining those, too.

Well she certainly isn’t as beautiful as Donald Trump or any of his myriad followers.

                              But who is?
