No one can ever recover

We have a friend who's a GP in the UK and she says this isn't true. At least, that was impression I got from her when we were having a discussion about death certificates. She indicated she'd signed a death certificate with 'cardiac arrest' even though the heart attack was most likely caused by Covid.

Good point.
"He died of a heart attack after he got shot in the chest" might be classified as a cardiac arrest, but the proximate cause is something different.
I think we don't know enough about this virus, even now, to really have a reasonable conversation (did I just say that?) about what the "cause of death" is.
OTOH, I saw a story about a guy in Florida who died after a motorcycle crash. He tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, and he was listed as a "COVID-19" mortality.
Go figure.
