In order to be the all time greatest she must be the correct gender and skin color.

Tonight I was in line at a food truck, and in front of me was a young female human (known mammal) watching a video on her iPhone. The video was of Caitlin Clark. Exactly as you would expect, for the greatest mammalian athlete of all time. She is everywhere, and she is an inspiration.

      Education is extremely important.

And the NCAA’s finest just beat UConn 71-69.

Ticky tack foul decided it at the end. I still don’t miss being a sports fan.

Geez, Jolly. You really dislike this girl. Why? I was ragging you a bit on the Pete/NCAA Scoring thing, but everyone knows that they are two different sports, and a comparison is a bit silly. So why the dislike? She seems like a fine young girl, and what she’s done has been historic for women’s basketball.

I don't think there's anything personally wrong with the young lady. I do think that UCONN got more than their fair share of ticky tacky fouls. Basketball has always been a sport that can be officiated unfairly...Fouls are not consistent from game-to-game and sometimes not even within the same game.

Part of that is incompetent officiating and I daresay I wouldn't be surprised if money was changing hands, because of gambling...Or, the pressure that can be put on refs to subtlety tip the scales in favor of a well-known player. Tom Terrific made a good living off of his talent and the propensity of refs to call things his way.

I think TPTB badly want to see Clark in the Championship Game.

I think you are right about one thing - it's only a matter of time until we see a scandal with sports book.

We already are, but so far they’ve mostly been swept under the carpet. Multiple NFL players have been suspended for gambling. You have the Ohtani investigation right now, more is coming.

No, I mean a black Sox level scandal.

Are we so jaded, that there cannot be a scandal of that level again?

Perhaps. We are quick to forgive the unforgivable.

Iowa - SC. Great game. Clark 18 pts first Q.
