For George and Kluurs - Best Hot Dogs
-
It’s hard to pick between all of the great hot dogs in Chicago. But as long as the place looks somewhat banged up, the walls are sticky, and there’s a steady line of customers, you’re golden. These eight places represent my absolute favorites, and they’ll give you a sense for how much creativity and care can be packed into a bun.

Unlike many "fast foods," hot dogs are not subject to much variability.
What kind of sausage are you getting? Vienna? Nathan's?
What kind of bun? After that, it's all about the toppings/condiments. Mustard, peppers, tomatoes, onion, relish, celery salt. Just variations on a small theme.
Look at the pictures. They're all, basically, the same:

Now, if you wanna talk Italian beef, that's a totally different conversation.
Also, for some serious variety on hot dogs...

Any discussion about hot dogs which adds fries to the discussion is distracting you. Yeah, it might be a better "experience," but the dawg is the dawg.
