Need advice on tablet
-
I'm thinking of buying a tablet I can use to read music when playing the piano.
I only need to read piano scores in pdf. No gaming, no movies etc., just for practising and doing gigs. Any good advice is welcome as I have no experience on this subject

I bought a 12.9 inch iPad pro for this. Works well, and the size of display is ALMOST the size of a sheet of music. Strangely, I find myself not using it all that much.
It's great for things you already know, but there's a steep learning curve for annotating (mine accepts a pancil). There's all kinds of solutions for turning pages, but they're all cumbersome.
For software, I use ForScore. It stores all your PDFs locally and you can import from Dropbox, some cloud accounts, and some sheet music sites.
As far as what model, I have the 2021 iPad pro - got it at eBay. Great sound (4 speakers) and the larger screen is wonderful as well.
Rumor is that Apple's going to be releasing an iPad Air with a 12.9 inch screen. Not as powerful a processor as the pro, not as nice a screen, but functionally it would suit your (or my) needs.
I know there are Android tablets out there with similar sizes - but i know nothing about them.
Good luck!

Thanks to both of you, but an I-pad is too expensive for what I need.
I'll let you know what my search will resut in. -
Not only a matter of size, but also resolution and speed of rendering a page.
A large but low resolution screen will likely be uncomfortable to read.
Low page rendering speed may adversely affect reading after a page turn.
Size, resolution, and speed all cost money.
Good luck with your search.
