Nearly one-third of children tested for COVID in Florida are positive. Palm Beach County’s health director warns of risk of long-term damage

“They are seeing there is damage to the lungs in these asymptomatic children. ... We don’t know how that is going to manifest a year from now or two years from now,” Alonso said. “Is that child going to have chronic pulmonary problems or not?”

... About 17,000 of Florida’s roughly 287,800 cases have been people younger than 18. Of the 4,514 COVID-19 deaths reported by Florida as of Tuesday, four have been younger than 18.

Isn't that odd... every other scientific study that's been done in cou tries all over the world has shown just the opposite. But one little study down in South Florida is disagreeing with every study the world over, so I'm sure it's everyone else that are politically motivated.

      Lol

This isn’t particularly surprising, nearby Miami-Dade has a 33% positive rate overall.

Larry there’s nothing the article that contradicts any generally believed result related to Covid. You must have misread it.

I understand quite well why Ax posted the article.

I guess the theory now is that herd immunity is completely off the table having been attacked by both long terms damage and loss of antibodies.

Looks like we are back to staying at home until a vaccine arrives. Until Election Day and then that idea goes bye bye.

Actually waiting for Biden as President. When nothing changes on the way we handle Covid no one is going to care. Can’t wait to refer to this thread.
