Nikki Haley announces

Nikki Haley is second to none!
https://nevadacurrent.com/2024/02/06/none-of-these-candidates-embarrasses-haley-in-nevada-primary/
Nikki Haley loses even to "None of these candidates" in the Nevada primary.
With nearly half the statewide vote counted Tuesday night, Haley was trailing “none of these candidates” in the Nevada presidential preference primary. Haley had 33% of the vote, to 60% for “none,” and The Associated Press called the race for “none.”
.
Haley was the only active candidate on the Republican primary ballot – Donald Trump deliberately didn’t file and is instead participating in Thursday’s state-run caucus. But there had been a quasi-campaign on the part of Trump forces urging people to vote for “none of these candidates” in the primary. Gov. Joe Lombardo, who has endorsed Trump, has said he would vote for “none” in the primary and then caucus for Trump Thursday night.wrote on 7 Feb 2024, 18:38 last edited by@Axtremus said in Nikki Haley announces:

It's not whether she's moderate that's the question, it's whether she's at least competent.

Well, she speaks coherently, so that's a big factor in her favor.
Baby steps...

I bet she scores almost as highly as Trump did on the fiendishly complex "Person, Woman, Man, Camera, TV" test

Trump projected to win South Carolina Republican primary, in Haley's home state.

She said that Trump can't be beaten...and yet she persisted.
Is she hoping for a disqualification because of Trumps legal woes?

Either that, or she's running for '28.

Ari Fleischer thinks she’ll run as an independent.

Well, looks like Trump whipped her by 20 points in her own state.
She runs as an independent and her political career is over. I have my doubts.

Niki has now spent over $76M. I suspect the money will dry up shortly.

Would she have the money and potential voter support to run as an independent?

I'm surprised she's had as much money as she has had. Could she raise enough for a run? I dunno.
Voter support? She couldn't win her home state. I just don't see where she could garner enough support to make a big enough difference as an independent.
Graham is 68. Scott might be Trump's running mate. Either way, that might be a future possibility, but not if she makes an independent run. At least IMO.

Joy Reid (the black woman with blonde hair) said that Trump won because of white people.
Democracy dies in ignorance...and racism.

On "voter support" for Haley:
According to SC Republican primary exit polls:
-
Trump won every demographic, every income level, except the college educated cohort, except those who consider themselves "moderate" or "liberal"
-
Forget about leaving abortion laws to the states, a majority of the SC Republican primary voters want a federal ban on abortion, and this group overwhelmingly supports Trump
-
"About 6 in 10 South Carolina GOP primary voters denied the legitimacy of Biden’s 2020 presidential election ..." Go figure.

I'd guess it's closer to 70% down here...Then again, we know how much elections can be manipulated.
