Air Fryer question

Just got my 6 qt today. Testing it on some frozen french fries. Do you really have to only do one layer of fries? Any tips?

One layer will allow better air circulation. Remember an air fryer isn't really a "fryer." It's a small convection oven.

Mrs. George made a hot dog (Nathans, btw) in it yesterday - 6 minutes.

Ah - we have the other Instant Vortex - has a rotisserie.

Sweet potato fries turned out OK, but they are really hard to get much crispness out of anyway. The crinkle cuts turned out great, except that there weren't any air fryer instructions, so i just winged it. They were about perfect at the turn food point.

What do you do with the rotisserie? Chicken? veggies?

I've used the rotisserie for pork loin, chicken and turkey breast.

If you overfill the basket - you just gotta do a jiggle a couple times during the cook.

Fries and burgers were both excellent. I highly recommend the Omaha Steaks. Seasoned with S&P, garlic and smoked paprika.

Trying pork chops with a little olive oil and grill seasoning tonight. With a bagged chopped salad, could not be easier.

SO easy. Prep time under 5 minutes, cook time 13 minutes. The Omaha pork chops were good but I’d brine them next time, and I prefer more fat in my pork.

Last night I cut some gold potatoes and air fried them. Kind of limp. Tonight I’m doing broccoli and baby carrots with a nice pompano filet. Healthy and delicious.
