    It wasn't Trump.

Behind a paywall, but the available part will tell you what you need to know.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Not sure I can agree with that opener. In fact, I cannot.

Russian media did not like Clinton and saw her as a continuation of Obama. Lavrov openly despised her while she was Sect’y of State. Likewise, while not explicitly supporting the Trump campaign, RT for example was downright negative on the possibility of a Clinton presidency. I recall they nicknamed her “Killary Clinton” and alleged that she was personally responsible for the murder of Gadaffi.

I do not for a moment think the Kremlin saw there could be any form of meaningful dialogue or relationship between Russia and the US with Clinton in the WH.

Shellenberger claims that there's a 50 page document proving this.

I agree. Put up, or shut up.

The only thing is that he and Taibbi have been good in their reporting on related issues.

              Let's see the receipts.

Taibbi is no dummy when it comes to the sleazy side of Moscow. In the ‘90s he was either an editor or reporter for an English language weekly tabloid in Moscow for expats called The eXile. It always had informative articles on the Russsisn mafia, corrupt officials and the rise of the Silovki. It also had great info on night life venues complete with ratings such as “The Faki Faktor”’ which rated the odds you would meet a local beauty and get layed if you dropped by for a drink or two. Jon would have loved the paper.

I've been tempted to subscribe to his "Racket" substack, but I'm not sure that I'm willing to pay for a monthly thing.

But, that's because I'm cheap retired.
