We had a Zenith with the click remote. It went haywire in a cool way. You could clap your hands and the channel would change. My friends thought it was amazing. Unfortunately, it got to the point where a loud TV program would make it go into a channel-changing frenzy along with blasting the volume.
I think the clicker may have worked by making a certain specific pitch or "ding" sound. We could shake the hanging lamp chain and cause the TV to go mega nuts. -
