I've never tried to invent faster than light travel. I don't know whether I could.
Ok I just spent the last few seconds trying to invent faster than light travel, and I couldn't do it. So, I should say that I've never spent more than a few seconds trying to invent faster than light travel, and if I did spend that much time, I don't know if I could.
