Coffee crossed my mind as well. However I decided something that would remain sticky after it dried might be more appropriate. Syrup would be ideal however sugary orange juice would guarantee continuous unpleasantness at least until the foot was washed and the sock changed.

Just kind of move your foot and "accidentally" step down. Hard!

This happened to me recently. Except not only was the foot just there, the guy would occasionally run his toes up my calf!! Creepy as hell.
I kicked back at him a few times to no avail.
My boyfriend stomping on his foot finally made it stop. Haha

There's a direct correlation between the nastiness of the responses proposed here and the height of the proposer.
Just sayin'.

Yeah, I was going to comment but didn’t want to get vilified. It’s not like the person behind them can see that their feet is sticking through. And frankly, the offended person would have to be sitting ramrod straight for there to be an issue.

Really sad how tall people are ridiculed on this forum.
I’m not in the range of @Aqua-Letifer or even @jon-nyc , but I do have long legs for my height and wear size 13 shoes. If forced to fly regular coach, I always get exit row if available. If not, then I get aisle to stick my feet out there… But it’s not always possible. In those instances, my feet are going under the seat in front of me. There simply is no other choice.

Yes, but do they protrude in front of the seat before yours?

Frankly? No idea. Try not to, but if it happens? Oh well. We’ll deal with it if it becomes an issue.

Bet your ass. I hate doing it but there's no choice. And they don't stay there, just a 20-minute stretch is usually good every 90 minutes or so.

You lanky fuckers should really pay for two seats and give the rest of us a chance at a decent flight.

I can tell you - you would have to try to do that. It does not happen accidentally. It has never happened to me on hundreds of flights. I have fairly long legs as well but to get that far in that space you’d have to lean your seat back and press your legs down then scoot forward with your butt below the seat. to make them straight.
