Gov DeSantis Proposes Four New US Amendments
-
DeSantis called for four separate amendments to the U.S. Constitution, which would:
— Impose term limits on members of Congress.
— Require Congress to pass a balanced budget each year.
— Provide the President with line-item veto power.
— Prohibit imposing any law on citizens that doesn’t apply to members of Congress.
Disagree with #1, Not sure on #2, Agree with #3 and #4

What's the objection to line-item veto?
Several states have that provision, iirc, and there seems to be no issue.
And birthright citizenship should be defined more clearly. "Subject to the jurisdiction thereof..." is vague.

It's great in the system the founders envisioned but in a party system It has the potential to end political compromise. Do you want Johnson and Schumer to hammer out a bipartisan deal just to have Biden strike out all the 'compromise', leaving a partisan bill on the books?
Though I imagine in practice legislative negotiations would include side agreements not to strike out elements of compromise.
