Enrollment probably has been down and the school needs more students to remain viable. :man-shrugging:

Maybe it was here or somewhere else, but related is that some colleges that had previously stopped to require tests like ACT, SAT, etc. are now thinking of adding them back, realizing that GPA is not a good predictor of how well a student will do in college.

When everyone has a GPA of near 4.0, how do you choose?

By preferred phenotype. That’s sort of the point.
