    Probably not the best idea, but I think they hold the Sunni groups responsible for the recent attack there. I suppose we'd do the same. Still, Pakistan HAS nukes. A definite tightrope.

              Sad. They are Persians, not Arabs. Probably had the most Western-like state (along with Turkey) among the Muslim countries in that part of the world, and then the Mullahs took over.

              Speaking of sad...The genius of Ataturk was to separate religion and state. I think Turkey is slowly grinding those reforms down. I hope Turkey does not go the way of Iran.
