Yeah, saw a pic of that. The memes about if he had Allstate instead of State Farm he’d be protected from mayhem like that.

One of the nurses I worked with had a son that played football locally, and did well.

Then he went to Notre Dame.

Now he's the long-snapper for the Lions.

That's what I've heard - very safe position.

It's an exacting position. Punting and field goals -especially field goals - require an exact placement of the snap to the holder's hands. For field goals, you're snapping the ball back 7 yards and you better keep that ball in a 12 inch circle almost every time.

They tend to be locker room favorites. Lots of athletes to choose from who can do the job.

            Education is extremely important.

I read that Eminem asked Matt Stafford to let the Lions win. 😆

Well, I can tell you from a few years back...One of the ladies who worked with me, had three boys that went to college on football scholarships. All were centers. One played at NSU, one at ULL and one at LSU. The boy who played at LSU went to the NFL and played for the Pats and the Bills, and left after 6 or 7 years to go into coaching.

At that time, it was around 700 grand a year. I suspect it's close to $1M nowadays, for somebody with 3 or 4 years experience.

Not stellar for the NFL, but almost as much as George made in a month.

As I said, that was a few years ago. Might be more, nowadays...

That’s one down. Green Bay goes to San Fran and Detroit hosts the winner of Tampa/Philly. Detroit should make it to the NFCCG…

Would be neat if Green Bay pulled a reverse Tom Brady and won a super bowl the year after their star QB left.

Stafford got slobberknocked. I'm surprised the refs let that one go.

Speaking of refs, they called the worst illegal procedure penalty against the Lions, that I've ever seen. I've seen high school refs do a better job than that penalty...

If you spliced him with Tomlin, you might have a damn good coach… Or the world’s worst coach, depending on the halves that were matched up.
