The Jobs That Didn't Exist
-
Government over-reported by 25%...
-
Maybe that is not a bad thing. Too many jobs = economy is still too "hot". Less jobs (for the moment) = inflation pressure decrease, less chance of recession, etc.
-
I think @jolly's point is not the actual number of jobs that exist, but the fact that the government, for the last 11 months in a row, has overstated the number, with a stealth revision a few months later.
I mean, if you can't trust the government....
-
Full employment, FTW!
(With the proviso that many people are no longer looking for jobs and many folks are trying to get by on two to three jobs.)
-
Bidenomics...
-
Is that supposed to be surprising?
Retiring boomers are mostly native-born, with declining birth rates as a long term trend. If not for immigration the USA would be starring down severe demographic aging like Japan or Italy.
You need and should want the immigrants to work, at least until the AI/robotic overlords cometh. -
See this clip below:
Link to videoOf the two jobs shown in this clip, half is taken by an immigrant, but most of the work is done by the immigrant, most of the energy is supplied by the immigrant, yet the immigrant is the one you feel like you want to punch in the face anyway.
