Are there any open source PDF editors out there? Between our two charities we have to create tax exempt forms. Right now the only way is print, fill out, sign and scan. It would be much easier if we could just edit a signed version to add the vendor.

    Any suggestions?

I have a somewhat similar problem that I solved with pdftk. It is a command line utility, though, so on one hand you can easily "script" it, but on the other hand "ordinary" people likely won't like it.

          1. Get a Mac. The Preview application (comes free with macOS) works just fine for filling out forms and adding signatures.

          2. Even without a Mac, use your iPhone or iPad: https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/fill-out-forms-and-sign-documents-iph1d3607e5c/ios

The iPhone method works. Thanks to Ax and all.
