Embedded video in the article shows the dramatic throwing and catching of a baby. The building was on fire.

The mother threw the baby at the last second. The mother died in the fire.

My vote goes to D’Artagnan Alexander. It’s an incredible feat to catch the three year old, but it’s something else to run into that building and up three flights of steps to rescue the 8 year old.

What kind of shitty fire protection do these buildings have that makes such heroic deeds necessary? There should be a proper escape path.
