Trump's Taxes

Congress doesn't get them.
But the NY Prosecutors office does.
One of the cases concerned a subpoena to Mr. Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars USA, from the office of the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., a Democrat. It sought eight years of business and personal tax records in connection with an investigation of the role that Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization played in hush-money payments made in the run-up to the 2016 election.
Mr. Vance expressed satisfaction with the ruling in his favor. “This is a tremendous victory for our nation’s system of justice and its founding principle that no one — not even a president — is above the law,” he said in a statement. “Our investigation, which was delayed for almost a year by this lawsuit, will resume, guided as always by the grand jury’s solemn obligation to follow the law and the facts, wherever they may lead.”
No butter, a little salt.

Seems you won't be needing that popcorn after all. Pelosi has essentially admitted they were planning to use this issue as a campaign issue, and now that it's been sent back to a lower court and any resolution will come after the election is over, they're going to move on to other things. In a couple more days this will be forgotten.
Ah that was another question I had. So no docs until lower court decides?
Exactly.

I want a Republican Senate if Biden gets elected.

(Jolly, rubbing his hands in glee!)Down ballot is gonna hurt.
Also if Biden has a good memory he will recall how Obama progressively lost the Senate, Governors and House, I think in his first term.
So the massive blue wave that hits could be short lived, especially if the wokeamajokes have their way.

That is so jon. Do you eat it with a fork?
No. Pizza, yes.

The tax returns will show:
- President Trump is not as rich as he claims
- He does not donate to charity
- He paid money to (allegedly) cover up affairs
The Democrat side will scream
The Republic said will say "no big deal"Ultimately, both sides will claim they are right and nothing will change.
-
My best-case scenario is the unexpected bombshell that he made massive contributions to the Clinton Foundation.
-
Are we ready to start playing the game of guessing how Trumpists will defend the findings? Will it be situation-specific, or more of a blanket "it's tyranny to forcibly obtain that information" kind of thing?

Can you imagine that these will be the worst truths of Trump after our wonderful media has sworn Via front page and breaking news 1989 times he is a:
Russian agent, fascist, racist, bounty denying, psychopathic, mentally ill, peed on, narcissistic, 16 million immigrant booting President?

I’ll bet if you asked 100 TDS sufferers to name a single prediction about him they have been wrong about you would get zero answers total. A general lack of self awareness allows for that.
Moving the goalposts is certainly a way to go!
-
@Horace said in Trump's Taxes:
That's not moving the goal posts, it's whataboutism in the game of predicting how people with various biases think.
Just curious: are you in the camp of "even without seeing the evidence, there's nothing in the evidence that should be concerning to anybody"?
-
No, I'm in the camp that our political discourse consists mostly of special pleading and when you throw all that away you are left with differences between candidates that are actually worth considering. I suspect that nothing in Trump's taxes will have anything to do with why I would support his presidency over that of certain Democrats.
-
Nah, I'm ready to send Hunter Biden and his dad to prison.
Just tell me the rules and we'll play to win.
