In any case there is nothing new about this. Started about ten years ago when the Ortho Church Patriarch pronounced feminists anathema. Putin has been dismantling it piecemeal ever since. It’s considered a Western liberal deviation and therefore anti Russian.
Surprised it took the progressive idiots in the West this long to wake up to the fact. Stunned twits, they still believe Russia’s a workers’ paradise.

Basic premise is that the Russian government under Putin is cracking down on feminism more and more. Not really sure why that is, however.
