      @Mik I like it too.

      I like watching those tiny house shows. I think that they are fine for one or two people, but I am alway surprised when there is a family. I would like to see them revisit them after one year or so.

      I stayed in a 2 bedroom 400 square feet apt in Korea. Worked pretty well overall, but the one above does a much better design with the space.

        240 sq. ft. is about the size of a 34 foot long motorhome. It's 8 feet wide....

        When you see ads for them, they comment "Sleeps 6!"

        That's not important. The important point is not how many it sleeps, but how many it "lives." Having done that with 3 kids under the age of 4, I can assure you that you end up tripping over each other ALL THE TIME. This apartment would be no different.

        If I were alone, I might be able to do it. If it was me and Mrs. George, there's no way considering all the crap that she considers essential.

        But, it's a clever and functional design. It looks like it's meant for someone who has little need to cook, and does laundry elsewhere.

          That's why almost all new motorhomes have slide-outs. Those few extra feet make a huge difference in livability.

            As a minimalist, I too love tiny houses. I'd be happy living in one, except for one thing: Security. Not sure it's such a good idea for a single woman to be in a space that can be broken into easily.

            In fact, I think it would be great fun to build my own -- well, assist others to build it, since I am in Xenon's camp when it comes to building things. Any house I built would look like it was built by Picasso.

              It’s a very fancy jail cell. Really cool to look at but you couldn’t really live there. Like a tiny hotel room a place to transition, rest and sleep.

                @Loki, well-put.

                  That's a pretty nice design. For a single person, it's pretty cool. As a student, I've lived in places significantly smaller than that (15 sqm).

                  I'd miss a few things, such as my piano, but otherwise I'd be happy to live in that place if I wouldn't have family.

                    I have spent a LOT of time in hotel rooms, mostly suites. I'm quite comfortable in them for the most part. I actually like the idea of being able again to live with no more than I could fit in my vehicle.

                      I have often reviewed my house contents to determine how I could fit the necessary in my car and jettison the rest. Amazing, what I could give away and never miss.
