I think something like that would be benefitted by a "remote" trigger to eliminate any vibration.

Even if this is not true, and propaganda, I remain amazed at the fact that a sniper can get a target from even half that distance.
As @jolly says, everything has to be accounted for - wind, drop of the round, etc.
This is another thing I'll never understand.

Vibration is controlled. Shots are taken between breaths.
That's different from offhand shooting.
I'm pretty decent if I can get prone and braced. Back in my balmy days, I could hit a bowling pin most of the time at 300 yards. That's better than the average bear. I've shot with people who competed in 1000 yard matches. They leave me in the dust.
OTOH, hitting something offhand, especially running, is a whole nother skill set.
Few guys are really, really good at both.
