Any tricks or tips for restringing a guitar?

It seems straightforward but I’ve either never done it or haven’t done it in 40 years and don’t know what tricks there are.

I do one string at a time, starting with low E working down. I make sure the strings curl out, not in, and wrap bottom up for about 4 rotations.

Just how I do it. I can't speak to how important any of that is, it's just how my friend taught me.

Wrap the strings around the machine head shaft four times.

Minimal wrapping on the post otherwise tuning will drift. Let me find a good video...
