This time it’s Sir Andras Schiff at Carnegie. With Bootsy, for those who remember him.

Schiff didn’t even announce a program. He’s been doing these concerts where he plays what he feels like and has a mic and discusses the music.

Like being in the audience when he did his Beethoven Sonata tutorials.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

"my Thursday will be cooler than yours"

      So you think, Bosie-boy...

I get to spend Thursday evening in the company of the ever-fabulous Mrs. George.

      But...seriously...

That's cool. It'll be interesting to see what he plays and what he says.

That's neat. I love how much he loves the music. I am sure that will be infectious in his talk. I wish I loved his playing more than I do, but to each their own.

        Education is extremely important.

Thursday is lucky night. You gonna get lucky with Bootsy?

I loved most all of his LvB sonatas.

I heard the late sonatas live.

heres the program (lifted from x)

I’ve seen him about 5 times. Once in vienna playing/conducting Mozart piano concertos. And the rest here with mostly bach and lvb.

Amazing how it’s all from memory.

                  Always a pleasure.

The show was fantastic. At one point he says “This is my Carnegie hall debut - for speaking anyway.

Those Fm variations of Haydn were unknown to me. Delightful.

He played a Bosendorfer VC series.

He looked quite a bit skinnier than I remembered. And older than his 69 years.

Oh I forgot to mention the encores:

                        Mozart C major sonata and…

                        The Israeli National Anthem.
