Sen. Kennedy (R-Ruthless) questions a federal judge nominee.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

His inquisitions are always good fun.

      Education is extremely important.

Does he ask the same type of questions in the past to Republic nominees?

I find it hard to think that one parties nominees for judges are all dumb while the other side is all smart.

            Probably not.

            Does anyone?

I don't think Kennedy's saying that all Republicans are smart. But he's good at pointing out the ignorant nominees.

These are the types of questions that I would be asked during my oral board examinations.

"Dr. K, can you please draw me a Mapleson-D breathing circuit and explain why it's different from a Mapleson-A?"

It's basic knowledge. And as a nominee you should have that at the tip of your tongue. These are basic law school questions.

I agree. It is sad that they cannot answer those type of questions. But, by not asking the same type of questions to nominees presented by President Trump (for example) is doing a dis-service.

(Though maybe his "equivalent" on the Democrat side does (or did) that)

The real problem is that politicians are nominating these people in the first place. If you look at her bio on Wiki, it's obvious why she was picked.

Maybe lawyers should be suggesting nominees rather than politicos.

                I was only joking

The Democrats on that committee (which they controlled in 2019-2020, by the way) had every opportunity to do so.

                  Did they?

I dunno, and I'm too lazy/old to look it up. But my SWAG is that they did not.

                    You noticed, did you, LOL.

My Senator, Durbin, congratulated her on her nomination.
