The world is still a scary place. The U.S. maintains its place in the world, by fielding a first class military. The core warrior population of America has always been the Scots-Irish of the Appalachian regions, the good ol’ boys of the South, and the farm boys of the Midwest.
Hillbillies and rednecks, in other words.
You know, the people demonized by the Woke Media, the feminazis, BLM, etc. The guys that have been shoved aside by the Rainbow Warriors, told they're not good enough by the DEI mavens and ridiculed because they or their families might have voted for <GASP> Trump.
But, the world is still a scary place. And yes, the old quote is still true about being able to sleep soundly, while strong men are willing to commit violence on our behalf.
Except...Suddenly, they ain't. Recruiting quotas are waaay down. Standards are being waved. Eight hundred soldiers were short-stopped, and reassigned to recruiting stations, because of falling enlistments.
The men who make up the majority of non-commissioned officers and a large portion of the Army's commissioned officers aren't enlisting in the numbers they used to. It's so bad, the word "draft" is being whispered among the hallways of the Pentagon by the Perfumed Princes and Princesses who inhabit the building.
Why should these men shed their blood for a country that ridicules them, scoffs at them and blames them for much of what is wrong in modern America? Let the DEI crowd fight.
Maybe the rednecks, farm boys and the hillbillies need to sit this one out...
