          At the moment, China is still the 500 kg gorilla, so a lot of the things they do , companies do not follow up on because they think (and shareholders also demand growth) they have to be in the China market. Read an article that the president of Apple has visited mainland China three(?) times in the past year.

          I know one company involved in the oil and gas industry that will sell/license technology in China that is one or two generations behind because they know the Chinese will try and reverse engineer it, put a Chinese company name on it, and then require Chinese companies to only purchase from them.

          I think there has been some success with the semi conductor business and the sanctions on that but I don't think that can be done across all businesses.
