    Story about Kroger using AI to monitor self-checkout lines to flag susoected acts of thievery.

    (The article is a bit judgmental but try to ignore that.)

        My daughter occasionally shops at a physical Amazon Fresh store. No checkout whatsoever. SIL tells me that cameras scan what you remove from the shelf and put in your cart. If you replace it, it's removed. You have an Amazon Prime account, all you do is walk out. No checkout, self or otherwise.

        I wonder if that tech would scale to other retailers. But if Amazon can do it for groceries, I don't see why Kroger couldn't.

          @George-K It would be interesting to see Amazon stealing rate vs. other grocery stores.
