A previous cultural revolution

A very sad, crazy time in China.
On a sidetone, a photographer who was imbedded with the red guards and took many many pictures of what was happening just recently died. He knew at any time he could be accused of "crimes", so he hid all his negatives under the floor of his house, where they lucky survived the Cultural Revolution.

Daniel Hannan has been one of my favorite European politicians in the last decade! He made me, at least in part, a proponent of what he calls "localism". Do you generally follow him or was it just this tweet that raised your attention?

I agree, Hannan is someone to listen to. Not only was he very smart when an MEP, but he has also given lectures on American history in the U.S., well worth listening to. It's always sobering when a Brit knows more about Jefferson than most Americans!
